Pool Sessions

The Kansas Whitewater Association and the City of Grandview "The View" Community Center will be hosting pool sessions starting in the fall through late spring. Sessions will run every other Sunday morning from 10 to 12AM.  Pool sessions are a great place to learn new skills, keep old skills sharp in the off-season, and get to know fellow boaters.

Where to Park?

Please park in the West side of the building, the side opposite of the social entrance.

Cost:

Cost is $8.50 per session, at the front desk at the beginning of every pool session.  If you live in the city of Grandview there is a reduced cost. Rental gear is available for an additional $10.00 per session (for non club members)- see the Gear section below.

What if I've never kayaked?

If you are a first-time visitor or want an introduction to kayaking, please email us at james@kansaswhitewater.org at least 24 hours prior to the pool session you would like to attend.  Also, see the Gear section below if you need to rent gear.

What do you need?

A swimsuit, a desire to have fun, waiver form (available at the session), and advanced reservations if you need to rent gear.

What Gear do we offer?

If you are new to kayaking or do not have gear, the KWA can supply a boat, lifejacket, paddle, spray skirt and helmet for a fee of $10.00 per session.  Email james@kansaswhitewater.org to reserve gear.
