I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, but does anyone out there have a Jefe Grande OR a Stomper 90 they would let me demo?
I called the Alpine Shop in STL and they don't have either in their demo fleet (I was hoping to demo on the Saint).

Trading Post?
If anyone is interested in the Trading Post, I'd like to check it out. I live nearby and plan to drive over after work today. I've never paddled there, so any feedback or opinions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Thanks,

never mind
Family stuff will keep me from paddling this weekend...
I should have know to check with the "Dept of the Interior" first (always ask the wife before posting, it's just embarrassing otherwise).

Kansas River @ I 435
Anyone interested this weekend? I've never been and would love it if a veteran of the run was around. My intentions are only hopeful at best, but I thought I'd ask.

Carpooling to the Saint Francis
I just made the trip solo this weekend. It was at zero inches but still a lot of fun...A long way and a lot of gas, though. Does anyone ever carpool for a weekend of camping/paddling over there? I'm still an MWA member and former resident of the eastern side of MO, so maybe I just need to be a littl...

dry pants +1/2 off retail
I'm asking $70 for a nearly new pair of men's large NRS Blackrock Dry Pants. I have worn them 2 days for a swiftwater rescue class. I stayed dry until my 3rd extended swim; even then it was my top that leaked. Wore them just once more open boating in an all-day freezing drizzle. Stayed dry as toast ...

Grand falls is on Shoal Creek. Private property just below a man-made dam creating a reservoir above. Seems like this is the headwaters of Shoal. Boating below is fine, restricted in the area of the falls...

I see, thanks! The bracketed figures make sense now. Is Grand falls in Joplin runnable? I saw some video of people jumping from the top, so hydraulics must not be the concern... It's pretty high, but seems like there are side chutes to "creek" when there is some water. I have family down there and i...

I see. Too bad. But, that's why I asked. I was trying not to get my hopes up. Is there a place close-ish to practice boofs and running drops? Also, I did not find a recommended level for the Trading Post. I found the gauge and bookmarked the USGS site...but I don't see what 'optimum/minimum' would b...
