Saint this weekend!

The weather guessers are predicting just under 1-1/4" of precipitation for the Farmington area beginning this evening and steady until early tomorrow afternoon. Anyone care to join in the fun?

Re: Line Creek Intel Report

I have seen an 8' wave @ line creek. I grew up less than 3 miles from there. The problem was at that time, no eddy service and almost certain strainer entrapment at that level. It takes a diluge to get to that point and it doesnt last long. Super saturated ground is a requirement and then the pummel...

Re: Lawrence KS, Whitewater Park

I'll believe it when they break ground. Until then, KS will remain the red state with one little bastion of forward thinking known as Lawrence. Clinton lake area? That makes no sense. Bowersock would easily lend itself to a ww park. Not a ton of gradient but, with the proper engineering, far cheaper...

Swiftwater Rescue Clinic, Mem day weekend on the Saint.

Yep, the levels will likely not be optimal, crapshoot at best. However, the clinic is being taught by Jim Coffee. Yes, that Jim Coffee. The guy who broke the open boat huck record, 60' kids!!!! Anywho, aside from being a world record holder, he is also a nationally recognized authority on swiftwater...

I'm game for some local paddling. No saint for me this weekend as I will be there next weekend for the races. If I left the GF at home for three consecutive weekends while I was on the Saint, my goose would be cooked!

Where is Trading Post located?

Report-Saint 3/2, 3/4

3/2 Departed KC at 5 am on 3/2 and made it to D bridge at 9:45. What speed limit? Arrived to find the new gauge registering +15" over 3'. Waited around for a bit and 3 other boaters arrived shortly after 10 am. Suited up and headed up to the put-in at Millstream. On River by 11 am. The level was awe...

Saint on 12/10/12?

Keeping fingers crossed and doing the rain dance right now. From the looks of the forecast, the Saint might be doable on Monday. If the weather guessers have it correct I'm headed out on Sunday for some cold weather boating on Monday. It might be kind of boney but, it's better than nothing. If anyon...
