Damn you guys....LOL I just got back from Colorado... Estes Park to be exact. And while I was there I decided to do some whitewater rafting. I wanted to go kayaking, but was a bit intimidated since the only kayaking I had done so far was on sit on tops (out in the Pacific Ocean, Lake of the Ozarks, ...

I did go ahead, and pick up a SOT kayak today. The reason being is that I already know I enjoy it.

As far as whitewater kayaking. I would really like to give it a try as well, and purchasing a kayak just for whitewater would not be an issue.

I dont have any gear just yet.

Im torn between the SOT which I have experiance with, and the SIT for more aggresive streams which looks like alot of fun.

Right now Im leaning towards the SOT, but I was hoping to try out a SIT before making my purchase.

Im ready to buy now...LOL

Lesson, or lessons

Hope Im posting this in the right place, but if not please move it.

I was reading on the site about how the KWA offers monthly lessons, and I was wondering how I would find information, or who do I contact to get in one of these lessons?

Please let me know, and I will be at the next one. :D

I actually joined about a year ago. At the time I had just got back from Monteray and had been bitten by the bug after kayaking in the ocean. I was torn between the set ons, and the regular kayaks because although I really enjoyed the set on type that I used in California most people here dont use t...

Got Bit

My wife, and I just returned from Monterey Bay California about a week ago, and while I was there I decided to take the local Kayaking Tour. I had a blast, and enjoyed every minute of it. The Kayaks they rented out were your set on top style kayaks, and after talking with the tour guide for about an...
