Calm before the...

T-storms about to slam into KC Sunday PM here. Just about anything will be big after the rain. Looks like the storms will clear us about 5 PM or so. Mill Cr may go - or Indian will for sure. Heads up.

Hey Zach, Welcome to the armpit of whitewater boating! Turtle over on the general board has a Middle Fork Salmon permit for this June. If you can oar a raft, might be able to haul gear and go on a spectacular trip. Just a heads up. Other than that, Arkansas is off to a good start to the spring with ...

Rain gods smiled and peed all over Northwest AR on Sunday. Yesterday was a mega-flood, with all the steeps going thru the roof. Will be good class 2-3 water down there all week most likely. Good weather too. Go get you some.

The jumping off point for a lot of info is the USFS site: http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/scnf/recreation/wateractivities/?cid=stelprdb5302105 There's a link to the SNOTEL snowpack reports on the right side of that page. You're looking for the Salmon drainage and you want Ban...

Wish I could go, but not in the cards for me this year. I've been four times and it's better every time - probably the best paddling trip in the country -period. Snowpack looks like it's hovering right around 100% of normal for this time of year, so far. If that continues, mid-June will likely have ...

I'm not going to make it this weekend, but a Cossatot / Dierks combo is a wonderful thing if you can get it. What a great playspot. Have a great one down there!

I can't make it this afternoon after all - my daughter's halloween party is tonight. I almost forgot. Will have to catch the next big surge. Hope someone gets some today!

Just for the weekend, Fri - Mon most likely. Gauley is great (Yough even better!) but just bit too much of a stretch for me this year. The way levels have been looking out there this summer, I'm hoping we might get some natrual flow stuff too. Chattooga's been holding extremely well all summer (1.8 ...
