I'm heading out Friday about 3 PM with my son, but I'm hauling some stuff back from Fay'ville so be hard to take on another person. If you get in a pinch tho, give me a holler. Also I think Dave and Dustin and the girls are going down, but that's likely to be a full ride too...

Representin KC on Richland Cr

Andy and I headed down to hit Richland on Sunday - perfect water and weather and about 40 Arkie boaters out on the creek. Andy's first trip down the creek, and he styled everything, even nailing the very narrow lines at Crack-in-the-Rock and Door #2 on Lower Screw Up - big time moves indeed! Can't w...

BTW, AR is getting hit right now, looks like some stuff could go off tomorrow and will be some class 2 play all weekend down there. Saint will be nice all weekend too. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

T-storm cells missed most stuff. Indian was medium this AM, good surfing. Blue is at OK level but bony if you flip. Looks like Tryst will be good now through early afternoon - no visual but the gauge has been spot on the last 4 or 5 rains. Hopefully some folks can catch some water later today!

Ran the blue at a good play level, good time had by all. BTW, Ark Canoe Club Canoe School is coming up first weekend in May on the Mulberry R at Turner's Bend - classes are full, but the camping, fish fry, and party is not. Come on down and join the fun if you can.

Looks like all things are gonna pop this afternoon. I can paddle after 4 PM. I don't have tremendous faith in Mill going. I'd think Indian or Blue are better bets. Anyone up for an after work run?

Mid week KC metro runs?

Looks like we have a base, we have 0.5+ inches of rain between now and Wed (timing uncertain), and we have little plastic boats. I'm going to try to squeeze in an after work run this week if the rain cooperates Tues evening or Wed. At this point, it's been so long since I've been in my boat, class I...

Pretty flat around there in general, but there is an interesting feature on Google Maps at 38.54260, -94.40165, about 3 mi or so upstream of Archie (just downstream from where S. Hess Rd. crosses the river). About 3 miles downsteam from Archie, there's a ledge at 38.454, -94.245 too. Neither of thos...
