KC??? KC??? Face it Kevin. You're now a Parkie (just like a lot of us).

You'll realize it the first time your car gets keyed just because you have Johnson County plates.

South Lake is on the north side of 87th street between Antioch and Metcalf. I think James and Rod "discovered" it.

Permits?

Post by Monty » Tue May 30, 2006 3:44 pm

Is this a JCPRD facility? I did not see it on their map. Are any permits required/enforced?

Permits?

Post by Monty » Tue May 30, 2006 3:50 pm

Just found it. It is a JCPRD facility. Part of Antioch Park @ 6501 Antioch Road. Is there a kiosk to buy permits there?

James, I never realized you were talking about South Lake within the confines of Antioch Park. This lake is off limits to boats of any type. You will get fined it you get cought there with at boat.

Antioch Park lakes are fishing lakes only.

I suspect I am incorrect. I see another lake closer to the directions Pat gave. James, please confirm.

The south lake I refer to is not in Antioch park, it is down the street and over I beleive Pats directions are correct. Rod looked into it and said we needed no permit. Small paddel craft were permited.

Copy and paste this . . .

W 87th St & Robinson St, Overland Park, KS 66212

. . . and put it in Google search browser, and it'll give you a map. Not in Antioch Park

Thanks for clarifying. Sorry to be the source of confusion. Anyone confirmed for tonight? If so, what time?

James, Kevin, and I ended up doing Indian Creek anyway, at a minimal level. Got a little pre-rapid flatwater workout on the "upper".
