Looking for a used river running play boat

Post by jperkowski86 » Wed May 26, 2010 11:27 pm

I'm interested in getting a free running kayak, and I thought I would ask you guys for opinions about different makes and models. Right now, I think I would like to get one of these:

-Jackson Fun
-Dagger Rx
-Wavesport Fuse

I am 5'8, 165 pounds -- I've sat in the Fun and it's a little tight but the Fuse 48 I sat in at a store was a pretty good fit.

Anyone have any opinions/experience with these boats? Other river play boats?

Fuse is a nice boat I think Dave Adams out north has one you might try. The new fun is a great starter to down river boat as well. No idea about the dagger rx.
You can take me out of the white trash but you cant take the white trash out of me.

I,ve got a nice 7-0 F/S (see post below) or your welcome to try out my Fuse 56. I am 155 lbs and was uncomfortable in the Fuse 48. Also a Lot of used EZG 50,s F/S out there you might try out. Dave.

Jackson's Fun series is pretty popular. A guy on the Missouri Whitewater Association page has a Super Fun for $600. Great price if the boat is right for you.

Hope that helps,
